Basic Authentication deprecation -

Microsoft promises that SMTP authentication will not be affected, however our preliminary tests do not prove that. How does this affect me?

If you use Quest Archive Manager, automatic email archiving with no basic authentication enabled does not work.
As a Workaround, Microsoft is offering a one-time basic authentication re-enablement for specific protocols. We recommend following steps from this Microsoft article. Basic Authentication Deprecation in Exchange Online and request a one-time SMTP basic authentication re-enablement.
The Quest Archive Manager team is developing a resolution and targeting a Q4 release.
There is a planned release on 17th October with necessary changes, however additional action will be needed (manual service creation).
Documentation will be part of the build and available on support site.
