Whilst performing an export using Search Exporter the following message is logged despite Outlook being the default mail client:
"Outlook is not your default client. Please make Outlook the default mail client before running this tool"
Corruption or problem with the Outlook installation or an unsupported Outlook version.

Confirm that you are running Outlook 2019 32-bit ProPlus. You can check your Outlook version as follows:
Step 2: Addressing Corruption Issues
If you have verified that you are running a supported version of Outlook but are still experiencing issues, follow these steps to address potential corruption problems:
Click "Start," and then click "Run."
In the "Open" box, type "regedit," and then press ENTER.
In Registry Editor, locate the following subkey in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Mail\Microsoft Outlook
Select the "Microsoft Outlook" subkey, and then press DELETE.
Click "Yes" to confirm the deletion.
Quit Registry Editor.
Start Outlook.
On the "Help" menu, click "Detect and Repair."
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the repair process.
After completing the repair process, restart Outlook and test its functionality. Ensure that it is working correctly without any corruption-related issues.
