The Max Pool Size in SQL Connection String was set to a low value.
1. Log in to the Archive Manager server as the ArchiveMgr_Service account (the account may vary according to your environment).
2. Under Windows Search, search for "Configuration Console" (it can also be located under the Quest Folder for Windows Programs).
3. Once you open the Configuration Console, in the top right corner you will see the SQL Connection string.
4. Click on it, and you can modify the Max Pool Size to a value such as 2000 or 3000 (do not exceed 4000).
5. Restart the FTS Service and wait for searches to be warmed up, this may take around 10 minutes
6. Perform your searches again
