How do I grant access to a Mailbox in Archive Manager to an AD account that is not mailbox enable (4252988)

You would like to grant a permission to a mailbox in Archive Manager to a user who has an Active Directory account but does not own a mailbox.

The Archive Manager Active Directory Connector does not discover logins that are not mailbox enabled by default.

By default the Archive Manager Active Directory Connector Service will not detect non-mailbox enabled accounts.   You can set the Active Directory Connector to detect these accounts by adding this to Archive Manager's Configuration:

1. Start > Programs > Archive Manager >Archive Manager Configuration Editor
2.  Click Advanced Settings > Add Parameter
3. Type:  Directory Connector Import Users Without MailBoxes
4. Set the Value to True
5.  Restart Archive Manager Active Directory Connector Service.  

Once this is done and the non-mailbox enabled accounts are visible in the Archive Manager Web Interface you will then be  able to  grant desired permission to any user who does not have a mailbox.
