An external instance of MySQL® with an InnoDB storage engine can be used if your database administrator has installed one. Please see the System Requirements and Platform Support Guide for information about the external databases supported for Foglight.
NOTE: External MySQL databases must be configured to use a case-sensitive character set collation (for example, UTF-8). External MySQL databases have to use the InnoDB table storage engine and must be configured for mixed-mode logging. |

You can install a license file during installation if you perform a Custom Install. See Step 14: Add Foglight license file in Installing a new version of the Management Server.

The default mode for the installer is the graphical user interface mode. However, in cases where a graphics display is not available, the Foglight installer can be started in command-line mode by using the console mode or silent mode.
To execute the console mode, type the following command:
