On Windows, the shared memory is allocated dynamically. On Linux and UNIX, the shared memory for process table is allocated from the shared memory pool. To increase the shared memory for process table on these platforms, you must first increase the overall shared memory pool. You can increase the shared memory by configuring the shmmax variable in the system configuration file. For more information about increasing the shared memory pool, consult the relevant O/S documentation. |

Time limit for retrying a SmartDisk connection: This setting specifies how long the NetVault Server tries to establish a connection to a NetVault SmartDisk device after the initial attempt fails. |

Time (in seconds) between retries for a SmartDisk connection: This setting specifies the time between retry attempts. You can set the retry interval to any value between 0 and 60 seconds. |
