This section includes the following topic:

Prerequisites

NetVault Backup version 12.0 or later supports snapshot-based backups using Plug-in for FileSystem on Dell Compellent storage center version 7.1.12.2 or later.

Dell Compellent Storage arrays support the following Windows platforms: Windows Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, and 2016.

Adding Dell Enterprise Manager

Dell Enterprise Manager provides a centralized management console to monitor and manage Dell Compellent Storage Centers. To use Dell Compellent Storage arrays for snapshot-based backups and restores, you must add the Enterprise Manager to the NetVault Backup Server running on Windows operating system.

You can use the configuration wizard to add and configure the Enterprise Manager.

NOTE: You can add a single instance per tenant of Dell Enterprise Manager.
