Run a command prompt as Administrator directly on the DC.
Re-launch the MSI file, as follows:
Versions 10.0 and above:
- Set current directory to the same directory as the MSI file.
- Run ".\BackupAgent64.msi"
Versions lower than 10.0:
- Set current directory to the same directory as the MSI file.
- Run ".\BackupAgent64.msi /L*v install.log"
This is done so in the instance that the install continues to fail, an install log will be generated.
Install logs are built in to the installer in version 10.0 and higher.
If this does not resolve the issue, a support case should be opened with the log file attached for further analysis.
