Résolution
In some DB2 builds there are dynamic segments feature added by DB2: on instance, database and database appctl levels there may appear Seg0 dynamic segments, where session, syntaxes, threads (on Linux) data may be allocated.
Therefore the Collector should be adjusted to this new feature.
DB2PD -memesets and DB2PD -d <db_name> -memsets commands list these segments.
PA suopports Dynamic Segments on AIX (DB2 version 9.5.5 and up) and on Linux (DB2 version 10.1 and up).
There are three dynamic segments extends that should be set TRUE in order to turn the support on:
• DB_Extended_Config.DB_Attach_Database_AppCtl_Dynamic_Segments
• DB_Extended_Config.DB_Attach_Database_Dynamic_Segments
• DB_Extended_Config.DB_Attach_Instance_Dynamic_Segments
- there is no additional overhead on the server if the above environment variables are switched on.
