Unexpected Errors when Patching using a Replication Share (4299040)

Unexpected errors may exist when patching using replication shares in version 10.0.

The error received is a common error which also happens in many different situations.  It is important to identify and confirm the situation as well as the error.  If the error exists outside of these situations, it may have a different root cause.

Error: The system cannot find the file specified.

Situations:

• When detecting application patches which are also avaialble in different languages
• When detecting legacy patch files (from 9.1 or earlier) after upgrading to 10.0

Note: Version 10.1 is available for download at this time. Upgrading to 10.1 is the preferred solution, however, the enhancement bundle is available if upgrading is not possible at this time.

To resolve this situation:

Method 1:

• Upgrade to version 10.1

Note: As with any upgrade, KACE recommends that upgrade preparation is complete prior to upgrading

Method 2:

• Apply the Patching Enhancement Bundle to version 10.0
