Attempting to add a complex User Defined Collection on different SQL Server agents and the query itself will validate correctly; however, it still is not listed in the Overview > User-Defined > Collections dashboard.
Agent logs show an error message like this:
ERROR [SERVERNAME-INSTANCENAME-lowPriorityPool-1-[DBSS_Cust_CollectionName][2021/09/03 07:12:00]] com.quest.qsi.fason.core.collection.processor.InstanceProcessor - Failed to run DBSSCustomProcessor processor of DBSS_Cust_CollectionName collection. java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to execute collection [DBSS_Cust_CollectionName], reason=Not expected to get NULL object for result set
This is caused by defect FOG-2726 and triggered by complex T-SQL statements that include creating and dropping tables in tempdb.
WORKAROUND:
Please contact Quest Support for a hotfix for this issue.
STATUS:
This issue was logged as defect FOG-2726 and has been fixed in the 6.1.0.10 and higher releases of the SQL Server cartridge.
