How to upgrade from Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise Edition (FVE) to Foglight Evolve (FE) (4280291)

Please refer to Release Notes of latest version of Foglight Evolve regarding supported upgrade path depending upon what version of FVE you are currently running.

Also documented in the Release Notes are additional Upgrade steps as below. 

To upgrade to Foglight Evolve:

1. Download the Foglight Evolve installation package for your platform from Quest Support.
2. Install as an upgrade. For complete instructions, see the Foglight Evolve Upgrade Guide.

To upgrade to Foglight Evolve License:

1. Install the Foglight Evolve Core License. Refer to Install licenses  in Foglight Administration and Configuration Guide for detailed information.
2. Install Foglight Evolve feature license, which includes Foglight Evolve Cloud, Foglight Evolve Monitor, Foglight Evolve Operate, and Foglight Evolve Flex license. Refer to New in This Release for detailed information.
3. Remove old Foglight for Virtualization, Enterprise Edition license.

Important: If you currently have any installed any cartridges that are not provided out of the box in FVE (Databases monitoring, PSO custom carts etc.), please confirm that these cartridges are compatible with Evolve version you will be upgrading to in order to avoid any post upgrade issues.
