Résolution
To replace a drive in the enclosure you just need to hot swap it.It would be the same procedure if it's a bad drive or predictive failure.- Ensure the new drive is equal or larger capacity than the current drive.
- Pull out the bad drive and insert the new drive.
- The replaced drive may initially become the hot spare and after a copy back, the original hot spare may go back to being a hot spare in a ready state
NOTE during the process an alarm may generate the ENCL is in a degraded state. Something to the effect “Redundancy is degraded. Replace the physical disk(s) with a supported SAS Dell physical disk(s).” This is probably due to the rebuilding process going on. Eventually, green lights will show on the drive and the degraded alert should disappear on the DR's web console. The current status of the replacement drive in enclosure also may show "replacing" in the health monitor.
