Double-confirm by running the LDAP query on a domain to confirm the Query output the value as expected before applying the LDAP query on the filter
One of the troubleshooting steps is to Utilize ADUC to verify by creating an LDAP query test
1) Right-click on Saved Queries > New > Query (

2) Fill in all the information to be used with your LDAP query(If you are not sure kindly get your AD Admin to verify or get to our Quest Professional Services to further assist)

3) Review the output if it is the expected output of the object, if not always review your filter to verify the output is expected.
