When trying to start the Change Auditor Coordinator, usually after a fresh install, it fails. The Change Auditor Coordinator log displays the error message "The computer is not in a site"
The server isn't registered in a site.
The following command can be run to confirm this, where SERVERNAME is the name of the server where the Coordinator is installed on:
nltest /server:SERVERNAME /dsgetsite
You can also check the following registry key:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters
There should be a value called either "SiteName" or "DefaultSiteName".
Quest Support suggests that customers speak to their networking team to identify why it isn't properly joined to a site, and confirming the subnet for the server is assigned to a site in AD. Please see the following for more information:
