There may be confusion surrounding which sources are supported for migration regarding SourceOne. Current solutions will be updated once information becomes available.
Currently, sources supported for migration are:
NOTE: The content in this source is stored in a single archive folder. Archive Shuttle has the abilities to read the source and gather user archive data from the single archive.
In the EMC SourceOne system, you may encounter two databases: ES1Archive and IPMArchive. However, it’s important to note the following:
ES1Archive
Only ES1Archive should be configured in the Archive Shuttle SourceOne/EMX Environment Configurator page.
Purpose: This is the SourceOne-specific archive folder used internally by the EMC SourceOne system.
Function: It stores archived messages in the native SourceOne format and is primarily used for system-level operations such as indexing, retention, and compliance.
IPMArchive
This database does not store archived messages in the native SourceOne format. As a result, IPMArchive cannot be added to the Archive Shuttle SourceOne/EMX Environment Configurator page.
Purpose: This is the user-facing archive folder created in the mailbox (Exchange or Domino).
Function: It holds shortcuts (stubs) to archived messages. When a message is archived, the original email is replaced with a shortcut pointing to the archived copy in ES1Archive.
