Changes to Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect Monitored Services -
Description
Previously in Active Administrator, the service names used for Azure AD Connect for that Active Administrator to monitor were hardcoded into the product. We have updated this to use a configuration file to allow the change/addition of other Azure AD / Entra services in the future as we expect Microsoft may rebrand these services again in the future.

Cause
When upgrading the Azure AD Connect agent to the Microsoft Entra Connect agent, the services that the agent employs will change. The set of services that will be monitored by the Active Administrator Microsoft Entra Connect agent in Active Administrator version 8.8 is defined in the AADCSettings.json configuration file that will be written by the Setup.exe utility when the AA agent is installed. This file is a JSON document containing all the agent's configurable options.

Résolution
The "Services" section is a JSON array of the services that will appear throughout the product along with settings controlling whether the service is monitored and the frequency of the status checks. Default settings are below; they are all monitored by default with an interval of 1 minute. The values that are required to affect change are:
- To change what services are monitored modify the "ServiceName" property of an existing section.
- To disable monitoring of a service, change the "Enabled" property to "false" (with no quotes).
- To change the interval on which a service's status is monitored, change the "Interval" property to a format matching "HH:MM:SS".
- If a new service is added by Microsoft in the future a new block of settings delimited by { } can be added. Note each new section must contain a service name and a check interval with sub-values for enabled and interval.
- Similar to adding a new service, a block may be deleted to remove the related service name entirely.
- The services are stored in a JSON array delimited by [ ] this services section must be present in the JSON file. Note that service blocks are separated by ‘,’ into individual array elements.
