We recommend that the Disaster Recovery server and the FMS server are located in different data center.

At the beginning do a backup for the FMS, then do another backup again if necessary. For an external database, we recommend using database required utilities to perform the backup. For example, with Oracle you can use rman to backup and restore your database.
Backup Details
1. Do a snapshot for the FMS server. For the first implementation, we recommend to do a snapshot for your FMS server so you can duplicate your FMS server. A backup should also be done for the external database.
2. Do a backup for the whole FMS folder again for each of the below scenarios
3. Do a backup for the database for each of the below scenarios
Recovery Details
1. Restore your FMS from the snapshot, then use the latest FMS backup to override the original FMS.
2. Recovery the database from the backup
3. Change any necessary settings. For example, if IP address or port of database server is different then before, it's necessary to change the jdbc connection information so the FMS can connect to the database.
