Description
We are running into issues while trying to run the Cache Credentials action, but we are running into the following error:
Message: Cannot validate argument on parameter 'ComputerName'. The argument is null or empty. Provide an argument that is not null or empty, and then try the command again.
Error: Ping test caused PowerShell crash
Result code: 4
Result: Failed -
Cause
This error indicates a failure to communicate with the define Target DC within Credential Cache. -
Resolution
Do you have the target IP set in the credential cache profile?If yes, confirm you can open Windows PowerShell from the AD Pro server
Execute the following:
Test-Connection -<ComputerName>
Note: for *ComputerName *plug in the IP address of the Target DC as you have defined within Credential cache profile.
