Yes it is possible.
To see debug information for the Domino LDAP Service, do the following
Run the following commands on the server console which has the LDAP Service running:
1) Set Con LDAPDebug=7
2) Restart the LDAP Service using Restart Task LDAP
3) Start Consolelog. Run the CMN Directory Sync
4) When the lookup has completed, run Stop Consolelog
5) Open the Console Log, normally found in C:\Program Files\Lotus\Domino\data\IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT
This should contain the LDAP conversation just carried out. Identify any errors.
6) Pass this file to Quest Support when requested.
