The superuser account password is both encoded in the registry and used as login for several essential services. When it is changed in Active Directory, those services can no longer login properly.
1. In Active Directory, change the password on the superuser account. If the password has already been changed, intentionally or accidentally, skip this step.
2. Launch the Archive Manager installation package, which is typically located at C:\Metalogix after initial installation/upgrade.
NOTE: Make sure the installation package you are using matches the current software version. If the install files are no longer on the server you can download the setup at https://support.quest.com/metalogix-archive-manager-for-exchange/download-new-releases
3. Run the installer and choose the option for Advanced installation and repair when prompted.
4. Continue through the installation wizard and make sure to enter the new superuser account password when asked.
5. Restart the archive server to allow all services to start with the new password.
