How to manually create the vmware.keystore file for VMware integration
Login to your vWorkspace or Provision Networks Connection Broker server.
From your VMware Virtual Center server, copy \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware Virtual Center\SSL\rui.crt to:
To detect exact location of vmware.keystore file location, please open regedit on ConnectionBroker machine, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Provision Networks\VDI and verify value of TrustStore.
1. On your Connection Broker server(s), run CMD.EXE
2. Run net stop pnbrksvc (stopping the connection broker service will not allow users to login unless you have multiple brokers)
3. Change to the proper location of VMware-Certs as stated above
4. Delete the current vmware.keystore file if it exists.
NOTE: Do not delete this file if you trying to add another VirtualCenter to existing keystore file. Have your vmware.keystore password handy as you need to provide it during import process. vmware.keystore file can accomodate more than one certificate.
5. Run the following command:
\Program Files\Java\<JRE_Version_Path ... jre1.5.0_11>\bin\keytool.exe -import -file .\rui.crt -alias <Virtual_Center_server_name> -keystore .\vmware.keystore -storepass <password_for_keystore_file> -noprompt
6. Run net start pnbrksvc
7. Relaunch your vWorkspace/Provision Console and attempt to browse your Virtual Center by Import/Re-sync Computers
*** The above process needs to be run on each Connection Broker in your farm. ***
