"Error reading StatusBar.Left: Out of system resources" when opening Toad 11 (4237949)

When opening Toad 11, the following error appears:

"Error reading StatusBar.Left: Out of system resources"

This appears before the connection screen and it is not possible to connect to the database. This does not happen in previous versions of Toad.

This error is due to customized Windows environment settings, when the 'Active Title Bar' size is reduced in size from the default settings.
It happens in Windows XP and Windows 7.

WORKAROUND 1:

1. Close Toad
2. Right-click on your Desktop to show Properties
3. Go to Appearance tab | Advanced button | Select "Active Title Bar" under Item | Change it's size to a value of 18 or higher | OK
4. Launch Toad and connect.

WORKAROUND 2:

Upgrade to Toad for Oracle 11.5

STATUS:

Issue fixed in Toad for Oracle 11.5

Note, to reset to size 18, the Appearance may need to be set to 'Windows Classic Style' first.
