During the processing of a mailbox by the source agent the following is logged to the mail source agent (MSA) log file:
"Error -2147221221 aeMAPIFolder::Synchronize failed - MAPI_E_CORRUPT_DATA File: 'aeMAPIFolder.cpp' Line: '1338'"
or
11/13/2007 11:23:41 PM CMessage::CopyToPST Error -2147221221 - MAPI_E_CORRUPT_DATA File: 'aeCopyMsg.cpp' Line: '1458' (Subject: 'RE: failed process', SourceKey: '9B0E1789092812418A2E30B6F638FA87000003454DA8')
This is caused by corrupt messages within the information store, and the inability of the MSA to read these messages.
This can be resolved by either removing the mailbox that is mentioned in the mail agent log file with the "MAPI_E_CORRUPT_DATA" error, or resolving the corruption.
Mailbox corruption can sometimes be repaired by running the ISINTEG utility on the information store. Refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information on this utility:
"Description of the Isinteg utility":http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=182081
If the corruption cannot be repaired or there is a very small amount of corrupted data, a Microsoft utility such as Exmerge may be used to attempt to repair/export the mail.
Refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information on the Exmerge utility:
"XADM: Some Questions and Answers About the Exmerge Utility":http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;265441
If the corrupt messages cannot be repaired, they can be skipped by following the below solution:
