When performing a backup, the task fails with "cannot complete the operation because file or folder already exists".
Several orphaned snapshots exist on the VM. The VM is also running on a snapshot.
All snapshots sould be removed. If you are unable to remove all the snapshots on your own you can contact VMware to obtain assistance in removing the snapshots. Once all the snapshots are removed please rerun the backup job.
