Option 1:
This would involve adding a couple entries to each person's Toad.ini file, or modifying a standard / base Toad.ini file, and pushing that file to each person's AppData folder.
The settings are:
• FeedbackOptIn=1 (or 0)
• CheckForUpdates=2
where
• 1 = True and 0 = False for opting into the Product Improvement Program
• 2 = Don't check for updates. I will update manually.
Starting with Toad 13.1 and higher, we no longer show the prompt to the user asking them to be included or not included in the Product Improvement Program. The user can simply make their selection from the "Online" page in the Options window.
Option 2:
1) On one Toad ‘clean or fresh’ installation, please already select your choices for the 1) Product Improvement Program and 2) Software Update.
2) Then Fully Exit Toad.
3) Next, go to: “C:\Users\<YOUR_USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\13.xx\User Files\”
4) Backup / Save the “Toad.ini” file somewhere else. This would be your master copy.
5) Next, deploy that master “Toad.ini” file to your user’s machines, in the same directory location (to their own AppData location i.e. “C:\Users\<THEIR_USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\13.xx\User Files\”)
6) The next time those users start their Toad, they will no longer be prompted for the aforementioned items.
