After upgrading to v3.4 when you select a file to FTP using Automation, the filename shows up empty in the FTP Options window, after being selected as the file to FTP.
Because of this, when the automation task is run, it cannot find the file and the automation script fails.
The following message also shows in 3.4, which didn't in earlier versions:
'Validation failed: Toad has detected some symbols within the expression indicating you might be using bind variables. Please define the following variable(s): yyyy-MM-dd'
WORKAROUND:
This issue doesn't occur in v3.2
