When I try to import an Erwin model after applying the addon http://modeling.inside.quest.com/entry.jspa?externalID=2411&categoryID=34 I get the error "Unsupported Database". However, xml model is based off SQL Server 2008, not oracle. Is there support for importing Erwin xml models created for SQL Server? Where is the plugin for that?
TDM has limited support for importing Erwin models. It can only import ERwin 7.1 XML Files - Oracle 10g and Oracle 9i.
Import of Erwin models created for MS SQL Server 2008 is not supported.
RESOLUTION 1: (Older versions of TDM, 2.x)
To import an Erwin model, please go to http://www.casestudio.com/enu/daddins.aspx and download the appropriate template.
The template is called Import Erwin model and the instruction on how to install the template is at the bottom of the page. However, do note that your Erwin model must be stored in xml format first. Also, the import functionality is limited due to the differences between Toad Data Modeler and third party software products.

RESOLUTION 2: (import ERwin 7.1 XML Files - Oracle 10g and Oracle 9i)
Download and set up the addons: http://modeling.inside.quest.com/entry.jspa?externalID=2411&categoryID=34

WORKAROUND: (if working with models created for SQL Sever)
Import feature for ERWin models created for MS SQL Server 2008 is not available. The only way how to import ERWin models into TDM is via Toad Data Modeler version 2.25 (no longer supported).
1. Convert your ERWin model to MSSSQL 2000 (data related to MSSQL2008 will be lost)
2. Export the model to XML
3. Get TDM 2.25 and import the ERWin model for SQL Sever 2000.
4. Save model in TDM 2.25 and open the model in TDM 4.1
5. Convert the model to MS SQL Server 2008 in TDM 4.1
6. Reverse engineer your database and do model merge to load SQL Server 2008 specifics.
Another way is the following:
1. Reverse enginer SQL Server 2008 database
2. Load data from XML this way:
