SQL Navigator
The user has many different users that do not have administrator rights on the local machines. When the non administrator users try to access version control they receive an error " Error initializing team coding: Failed to initialize VCS provider: SCC provider initialization failed: SCC provider (PVCS Source Control) is not installed or configured."
Please consult your IT department or your system administrator before editing these privileges.
Log in as administrator
Go to the start menu.
Go to run and type regedt32
Grant the following to the non-administrator user
1. Hkey_Local_Machine\software\PVCS
2. Hkey_local_Machine\software\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\pvcsvmnt.exe
3. Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\SourceCodeControlProvider\InstalledSCCProviders
4. Hkey_Current_User\Software\Quest Software
To grant user privileges to these hives, simply select the hives. Then go to security >> permissions and select the user you would like to grant these to.
