Using Spotlight 9.0, SQL server connection failure occurred but the alarm was not raised for a few hours after the event
The connection failure initially occurred because the SQL Server itself crashed.
The connection between the DS (Diagnostic Server) and the SQL Server was still
somewhat alive or at least it looks like alive to the DS.
Therefore DS didn’t detect instantly the situation where new connections to the SQL Server
cannot be established anymore.
Issue fixed in the current release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise. To upgrade to the latest version without loss of existing connections and configurations, upgrade to Spotlight version 10.0 first.
