- Open the RMAD Console
- Start the Online Restore Wizard
- Step through the Wizard until you get to the Domain Access Options page. Select to 'Use agentless method to access the domain controller' unless you want to restore the password or SID History. If restoring the Password or SID History, you have to uncheck 'Use agentless method to access the domain controller'
- Click Next to the 'Objects to Be Processed' page
- Click Add | Browse
- You will need to select each OU that contains User objects, one by one, clicking OK to add it and then repeating step 5 adding the next one
- Once all of the required OUs have been added, click Next and select 'Compare, analyze and, optionally restore' and click Next
- Select 'Process child objects of selected types'
- Click 'Select Object Type'
- Check only 'User' and click OK
- Select 'Process selected attributes'
- Click 'Select Attributes'
- Check the attribute you wish to restore and click OK
- Complete the rest of the wizard
Please note, depending on the number of User objects, the initial compare and restore operation could take some time to complete. The report generation can take time to generate as well.
