While configuring NetVault to manage automatic cleaning for a Quantum Superloader 3 library, as per the following KB article:

the cleaning tape is loaded into the library but not showing in NetVault Device Management.
The library web interface shows the cleaning tape inside the cleaning slot but NetVault does not detect the cleaning tape, therefore it is impossible to configure the cleaning lives. Right clicking the Cleaning Slot in NetVault Device Management, only shows the STATUS option, the "Life" and "Cleaning Properties" options are missing as the cleaning tape is missing in NetVault.
The "autocleaning" option in the library web interface if enabled and the cleaning slot already configured as such on the web interface, can cause conflicts with NetVault.
If automatic cleaning is to be managed by NetVault it must be disabled on the library.
1) Make sure the 'autocleaning' option in the library web interface is not activated, to prevent any conflict with Netvault.
2) Before performing any manual move/import/export operation directly on the library, make sure the Open Door command has been selected in NetVault Device Management > Right click the library
3) Once all manual operations on the library have been done, make sure the Door Close command is selected in NetVault Device Management > Right click the library.
Steps 2) and 3) ensure an inventory is requested from the library so the new library content can be displayed in the NetVault GUI.
