Even though the Migration session completes it is shown to be failed because the Password Synchronization cannot complete. the following error is shown in the DSA log:
10/26/18 14:29:30 (GMT-03:00) Common AcAdSwitches Error 0xe1000051. Cannot compare password hashes, source user: "questtest2", target user: "cosernuser2" Error 0x80070005. Access is denied.
This is the full error with the logs at verbose logging, there is no other hint of the actual cause in the DSA log.
This is a very common error in other forms but this one does not explain what the actual error is, for example other forms of this error speak to the inability to install the AeP Agent.
It has been confirmed that reinstalling or manually installing the DSA agent on the Console host after applying all the relevant hotfixes that this error will be generated.
This is because when the DSA is installed even though the hotfixes are already in place, the DSA installs at the base version for that build. Then a mismatch of the agent against the console is spawned, the password error is a symptom of the issue.
Re apply the latest MMAD hotfixes from the following Knowledge base article and restart the console host server.
