This solution explains one of the causes for one or more of the following problems:
1) Agent/Server runs out of disk space while a migration job is triggered via Distributed Model or via PowerShell.
2) A full migration job doesn't migrate all the content.
3) Job appears running endless in the Job log as shown:
4) Sometimes the Job says "Done", but does not migrate all the content. As a result, incremental job picks-up more content that expected.
5) Agent runs out of disk space.
One of the causes is that the original PowerShell job crashes, as your agent runs out of disk space. You will see the following error in Windows Event Viewer on your Agent(s):
WORKAROUND
The following steps can be used as workaround if upgrading to Content Matrix 9.0 or above is not an option for you:
1) Remote into your Agent as the connection account. Connection account is the account that is displayed as "Run as" account under "Manage Agents".
2) Navigate to the user local temp folder (Ex: 'C:\Users\yogi\AppData\Local\Temp'). This folder can also be accessed by typing %temp% in windows run prompt.
4) Download the attached zip file and extract it. Change the extensions of the file "install-consoleprocessor.txt" to .ps1.
5) Open Windows PowerShell as an Administrator.
6) Execute the script install-consoleprocessor.ps1.
7) Perform the following steps if it returns "Please update your 'C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe.config':
a) Access the home directory of PowerShell (Ex: C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0).
b) Copy the file powershell.exe.config from the attached zip file. This is going to configure PowerShell to load with CLR 4.0.
c) Retry steps 5 and 6.
8) Go to "C:\Windows\System32". Ensure the DLLs listed in the script are present
Note: The script needs to be executed on all migration servers (Agents).
Note: The script will copy some Quest and Microsoft DLLs from "C:\Program Files(x86)\Metalogix\Content Matrix Consoles\SharePoint Edition" to "C:\Windows\System32"
9) Add a windows clean up job (batch script) that runs periodically and deletes files matching the following criteria and are older than an hour. These files are remnants of SPO Migration API Azure batch processing.
