Console crashes during Mailbox Review Host task in an Interactive Gathering
说明
The MessageStats Console crashes during Mailbox Review Host task in an Interactive Gathering
解决办法
Please confirm the following,
- Outlook XP Sp2 or greater with the latest service packs & patches must be installed on the MessageStats console system (Outlook 2003 is recommended) - Outlook must be configured with a MAPI Profile and then logged on to at least once on the MessageStats console system. - Outlook must be the default mail client on the MessageStats console system.
If the issue is still occurring, please try the following:
Run fixmapi.exe under the Windows\System32 directory with Outlook open and then reboot the system for setting to take affect (when run it looks like nothing is happening but it is actually running, so check task manager to confirm it has finished).
There are distinct rights you must have for MessageStats to gather from Microsoft Exchange servers. The account that you use (the service account used for Automated Gatherings or the logged on account used for Interactive gatherings) requires specific rights and permissions.
This account must
- Be a member of the local administrators group or a member of the Domain Admin group on the server that houses the MessageStats Console. - Have Act as part of the operating system privileges. - The Quest MessageStats installer automatically sets this privilege. If logged on as the Service account when the privileges are granted, log off and log on for the changes to take effect. - Be a member of the MessageStats Admin local group on the server that houses the MessageStats Database.
For Exchange 5.5 and mixed mode servers:
- Administrator rights on the Organization object - Read rights for the administrative shares on the Exchange Server - View Only rights on the Site objects - Administrator rights on the Configuration object - Permissions Admin on the relevant Recipients containers (if security is a major concern) - OR - - Permissions Admin on the Configuration object (if security is not a major concern) - Read rights to the log files in the tracking log share on the Exchange server. - Read rights to the file system directory (local, NAS, or SAN) containing the Exchange databases priv.edb and pub.edb.
If the Exchange 5.5 Server being connected to has a different port number then the default 389, please add the port number to the end of the Server Name when connecting, for example, ServerName:390.
For Exchange 2000 and 2003 servers:
- View Only Administrator rights delegated at the Organization level. - Read rights for the administrative shares on the Exchange Server. - Read rights to the log files in the tracking log share on the Exchange server. - Read rights to the file system directory (local, NAS, or SAN) containing all Exchange mailbox and public stores in all storage groups.
Trusts The following trust relationships must exist: - Domains where the tracking logs exist must be trusted by the domain where the Console resides. - Domain where the SQL server belongs must be trusted by the domain where the Console resides. - Domain where the Quest MessageStats Reports web site resides must be trusted by the domain where the Console resides.
