vRanger requires a full backup of the VM with the new name. Every job has it own retention policy, so it is required to do this in every job where the virtual machine is present.
To force a full backup, please do the following:
- Edit the job, and go to Retention Policy.
- Go to the Space Saving Technology - Full Backup Days and check the day to create a full backup. You can also disable the Space Saving Technology in order to perform a full backup.
- Once you run a full backup of the virtual machine, you can revert the changes in the Space Saving Technology window.
