Run the script manually in SQL management studio as follows (adjust to the correct script based on the update you installing)
- Log in to the GPOADmin SQL Server using SQL Server Management studio, as a user with sysadmin privileges.
- Take a backup of the GPOADmin database (Right-click > Tasks > Back up...)
- Copy GPOADmin_5.15.x.0_Upgrade.sql from C:\Program Files\Quest\GPOADmin\Database Scripts\Upgrades\5.15.x.0 on the GPOADmin server to the SQL server.
- Open the script in SQL Server Management Studio
- If your database is called GPOADmin, run the script as is.
- If you have changed the name of the database to something other than GPOADmin, please change lines 1, 1158 and 1161 to match your database name and run the script.
The following message may be seen, but can be safely ignored as it is due to the upgrade failing through the client:
Msg 1781, Level 16, State 1, Line 662
Column already has a DEFAULT bound to it.
Msg 1750, Level 16, State 0, Line 662
Could not create constraint or index. See previous errors.
- Restart all GPOADmin services.
- Run the client, connect to SQL and no more errors will be seen.
