A. Go in FVE(Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise) under Home │ VMware Environment
B. Locate the Virtual Machine in question, then click on "Explorer" and go to "Summary"
Note: Check if it is the same in both places, either Foglight and vSphere.
1. RDP(Remote Desktop) to the VM(Virtual machine) and check Network Settings to change network protocol binding order:
2. Verify the IP address in vSphere again by going to the machine in question and click on "Summary" tab, the IP address that comes first is the Primary IP address.
3. Find the MOR (Managed Object Reference) number, similar to this: vm-xxx. This allows you to confirm that the vCenter is sending the correct IP address.
One way find the MOR is by loging to FVE (Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise) and go to "VMware Environment" Dashboard:
Note: Foglight uses the Primary IP Address for this IP assignment.
Please login to url https://vCentername.domain.com/mob/?moid=vm-xxxx&doPath=guest (where vm-xxx is the VM MOR). to find the name for that VM and the Primary IP address.
