Description
If an upgrade is attempted whilst logged in via RDP that is not in Admin (or /console) mode, the upgrade can fail and get stuck in a half removed state

Cause
Performing the upgrade in the wrong RDP mode

Resolution
Workaround:
If the system is now in a state where the old version no longer appears in Add/Remove Programs but the installer still picks up an old version and fails to upgrade, there is a command line which may help.
Setup.exe /v"AFTERREBOOT=1"
This will treat it like new install and should avoid the "Upgrade" problem.
