Error “ERROR: CHyperV::scvmmCreateVmUsingDiffDisk: No host found for template X The Network locat -
Description
When deploying a Rapid Clone from the vWorkspace Management Console, the error “Action = unknown action, ERROR: CHyperV::scvmmCreateVmUsingDiffDisk: No host found for template X The Network location X associated with the virtual machine X does not exist on the host X” is displayed.

Cause
This can occur if the Virtual Network Adapter specified for the Parent Template does not exist on the Hyper-V Host.

Resolution
To resolve this issue perform the following (Note the below was performed on SCVMM 2008 R2 SP1)
1. Open the SCVMM Virtual Machine Manager
2. Select the “Library” tab on the left bottom corner of the Virtual Machine Manager window
3. Find and Right Click on the Parent Template and select “Properties”
4. Select the “Hardware Configuration” tab
5. Select the “Network Adapter”
6. For the Network Adapter, note the “Network Location” and Physical Network Adapter the template is connected to
7. Close the Template Properties window8. From the SCVMM Virtual Machine Manager window select the “Hosts” tab on the bottom left corner.
9. Right Click on the Hyper-V host that you are deploying the vWorkspace VDI on and select “Properties”
10. Select the “Networking” tab
11. Select the Network Adapter documented earlier
12. Under the Host access checkbox, select the connection; the “Location” should be identical to the “Location” documented from the Parent Template location. If not, select “Edit”
13. Document the “Host network adapter” and click “Ok”
14. In the “Host Properties for HYPER-V_HOST” window, select the “Hardware” tab
15. Under “Network Adapters” select the Network Adapter. This adapter was documented as the “Host network adapter” in step 13
16. The “Network location” for this location should be identical to the “Network Location” for the Parent Template (Documented in step 6). If not, enable the “Override discovered network location” checkbox.
17. If the Network Location detailed in step 6 is not in the drop down list, manually type the Network location from step 6 and click “Ok”18. After the Network Location has been configured identical to the Parent Template, attempt to re-deploy the Rapid Clone from the vWorkspace Management Console -
