Error “ERROR: 8007000D The data is invalid” is displayed when launching a published Desktop or Application from the vWorkspace Web-IT Web Portal

Cause
This can be caused when the “&” character is used in the “Application Name” field of a Published Desktop or Application

Resolution
Workaround: To remove the “&” character from a Published Desktop or Application, perform the following.
1. Open the vWorkspace Management Console
2. Expand “vWorkspace_Farm” | “Resources” | “Managed Applications”
3. Right click on the Published Desktop/Application that is causing the error and select “Properties”
4. On the “Application Name” tab remove the “&” Character from the “Name” field
5. Once changed, click “Ok” in the “Managed Application Properties” window
6. Refresh the applications in the Web-IT Portal and re-launch the applicationStatus: Waiting for fix in a future release of vWorkspace -
