When trying to connect to a machine, an error occurs "The Remote Computer requires Network level authentication error."
Certain older machines do not support NLA, the first 2 workarounds are for those machines.
If the machine is new enough and you wish to use NLA but get this error, please check the last workaround.
There can be 2 places where this is set. So even if NLA appears to be off, this issue occurs.
Check NLA through the GUI:
1.On the remote machine, right-click on Computer and select properties
2. Click remote Settings
3. Select "Allow Connections from Computers running any version of Remote Desktop"
It can sometimes appear that the option in workaround 1 is already set but the error still occurs.
In this case, find/add the following registry key:
Set to 0 = No NLA
Set to 1 = NLA.
1. For machines that should support NLA but still get this error, check the vWorkspace version installed.
2. Upgrade the Connector to at least 8.5
If enabling NLA then CredSSP must be enabled in the vWorkspace farm. By default this is enabled in version 8, but to check select Actions | Farm Properties | CredSSP | Enable CredSSP
