Cisco IP Communicator unable to detect any audio device. Audio in VDI session showing only "remote audio"
This could happen with any VOIP application and is a sign that Enhanced Audio is not working
1. In order for Enhanced Audio to work, it needs to be enabled at the Desktop Group level (Or on the individual VDI) in the vWorkspace Management Console
i) Open up the vWorkspace Management Console and navigate to the Desktop Group
ii) Right click on the Desktop Group and select Properties
iii) Click Enhanced Audio and select Enabled
2. In the Connector settings, the Local Resources | Remote Audio needs to be set to "On the Remote Computer"
3. In the Connector settings, the Local Resources | Microphone needs to be checks
With all these settings set correctly, Enhanced Audio will be enabled and the VOIP application should work.
