Description
Replications for a vm begin to fail with the above error. The vmdk file name listed in the error is the vmname- followed by a string of 15 hex digits -flat.vmdk when it is normally vmname-flat.vmdk. Attempting to storage vmotion the vm results in an error indicating that the vm in in linked clone mode.

Cause
The presence of the hex digits is an indication that the vm is in linked clone mode. vReplicator does not support linked clone mode on a vm.

Resolution
Clone the vm to remove the link cloned status.
