Description
After reboot of an ESX host, or after an upgrade, you may run into a replication error: Error message: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not porperly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond [host IP:22]

Cause
The ESX host ssh server is not running.

Resolution
Steps to resolve:
- Open Sphere Client, and login to your ESX host
- Select the Configuration Tab, then click Security Profile
- Click Properties
- Highlight SSH Server, select Options, Select Start
