Replication pass failed with "(at slave_main:523) FATAL internal internal error (at pkt_recv:43)" (4042601)

A previously running replication job begins to randomly fail with

(at slave_main:523) FATAL internal internal error (at pkt_recv:43).

 

One possible cause is the Target vm has an open snapshot created by an administrator or another 3rd party program. vReplicator expects to see a -flat.vmdk file as the active disk on the target vm.

If using another 3rd party program either stop using it or schedule the replication during a time when other program is not using the vm.

If created by an Administrator please use Snapshot Manager to remove the snapshot.
