"The virtual machine has a virtual disk in link-cloned mode that prevents migration" (77511)

After unmounting a hung hot-add disk from the vRanger server and you try and storage mirgate the VM. You receive " A general system error occurred: The virtual machine has a virtual disk in link-cloned mode that prevents migration"

vMotion the virtual machine to another host:

1. Open the vSphere Client and connect to the vCenter Server as a user with administrative privileges.
2. Go to the Hosts and Clusters Inventory view.
3. Right-click the virtual machine.
4. Click Migrate....
5. Migrate the virtual machine to an alternate host.
6. Go into Snapshot Manager and you should now see a consolidated helper snapshot present
7. Click Delete All
