Tasks hang at 51%, task logs exhibit errors indicating backup task using VDDK failed and backup task will be re-attempted in COS mode.
1. Tasks show inconsistent throughput after NIC change, some run at network speeds others run at iSCSI speeds.
2. Job Task Detail Log file contains the following.
(DATE): Backup task using VDDK failed:
(DATE): An internal error occurred during execution, please contact Vizioncore support if the error persists. Error Message: 3201 – can’t open r:xxxxxxxxxxxx.vmdk:moref=vm-148584:snapshot-203680:2(SAN transport unavailable) (atvddkd_open:275)
(DATA): Backup task will be re-attempted in COS mode.
When changing the NIC, the Multipath software caches the original NICs MAC address. To refresh, requires the Windows Multipath software to be removed and reinstalled.
To remove and reinstall Windows Mulipath I/O perform the following:
1. Open Control Panel and select “Programs and Features”.
2.Select in LEFT panel, “Turn Windows features on or off”.
3.In directory tree choose, “Features”.
4.To remove Windows Multipath I/O, select “Remove Features”.
5.Remove “Mulipath I/O”. Reboot is required.
6.Return to “Features” and select “Add Feature”.
7.Add “Multipath I/O”.
8.Confirm data path integrity by viewing running vRanger tasks in “Running Tasks” pane and verifying backups exhibit throughput speeds of iSCSI.
