Backup of large VMDK fails with a timeout
Description

When backing up a large VMDK to a CIFS share, performance is slow
Cause

If the CIFS repository is attached to the vRanger Server, the backup is travelling from the ESX(i) host, to the vRanger Server and then to the repository
Resolution

If the CIFS share is a NAS device and If the NAS device is CIFS capable, set up the repository to go straight to the NAS device, this will then bypass the vRanger Server
