When trying to re-start the vRanger API Service in SERVICES.MSC, nothing happens and the service shows no status but dialog box error listed in the CAUSE section is displayed.

The vRanger API Service service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service
If you attempt to restart the API Service repeatedly the service will start after approximately 5 attempts (30-60 seconds after the vRanger service has started). on that last attempt, the service will show up as started.
This behavior is occurring on the latest release of vRanger and the workaround is to try and restart the service until it's status is listed as STARTED. This usually occurs on the 5th attempt to restart the vRanger API Service.
